shadows

several moons ago
a lost foriegn shadow 
accompanied mine
as we looked over
my city's skyline

with passing moons
we realized
how meeting of
some shadows is
predestined

today when we meet
at the same place, again
looking over my city's skyline
our shadows now walk entwined
not bound by space or time
